....and to all a good night!

Christmas was so beautiful this year.

This morning, we (Dad, Mom, Stacia, Lydia, Agatha and I) opened presents in between each of us reading a portion of scripture we had each picked out about Christmas. It was so fun to see everyone open their presents!

After all the brevity, we had to hurry up and get ready to go to our friends house. We rushed around, trying to find old, useful or funny things for the white elephant gift exchange. We ended up getting there almost 1.5 hours late (unfortunately, not highly unusual for us; we are not the most organized family on earth), after waiting for the turkey to get done.

Having dinner with Jacquie, her daughter and son-in-law Tonya and Allen and their five kids, Jacquie's son Tony, and Allen's nephew Stephen, was so wonderful. They are our family away from our extended family in Chicago. The five Moran children, Brooke (15), AJ (11), Courtney (9), Hannah (7), and Emma (5), are so adorable and sweet. Courtney told me that the best present of the day was us coming over! They just recently moved to Virginia and were visiting their grandma and us.

quote of the day:
Lydia (Christmas evening): "Hey guys! That's a limo! SOMEBODY has a birthday!"
Me: "Lydia, it's a conversion van"
